| | | | Daryl Fridhandler, Q.C.
Position: Director and Chairman
Daryl S. Fridhandler, corporate lawyer with the Calgary firm of Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP, was appointed Chairman of the Board in June 2006. Mr. Fridhandler has served as a Director or Officer for a number of public, private and not-for-profit organizations. Mr. Fridhandler is currently Chairman and a Director of Innova Exploration Ltd. (TSX: IXL); Chairman and a Director of Calgary Economic Development Corp., Calgary's economic development authority; and, a member of the Board of Governors of the Alberta College of Art & Design. Mr. Fridhandler is also a recent graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors director education program. He was first elected to the Board in June 2006.

Position: Director, President and Chief Executive Officer
A Director since December 2005, Burkhard Franz was appointed President in June 2006 and Chief Executive Officer effective April 1, 2009. With over 30 years of diverse business experience in Europe and Canada, Mr. Franz brings a wealth of resource sector experience and leadership to the Company, having managed public companies for over 20 years including President and CEO positions. Mr. Franz graduated from the State College for Agriculture and received an engineering degree from the Ministry of Agriculture and forestry, Vienna, Austria in 1977.

Position: Independent Director
Lorraine McVean is a practicing lawyer who provides legal consulting services to various entities in the energy industry. Ms. McVean holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of British Columbia. Ms. McVean has experience with a number of publicly traded companies and is currently a director of Apex Capital Corp., a Capital Pool Corporation listed on the TSX Venture Exchange. In 2004, Ms. McVean established Sienna Capital Corp., a private venture capital and consulting company. Ms. McVean first joined the Board in May 2006.

Position: Vice-President of Operations and Corporate Planning
Wayne Fast is the Vice-President of Operations and Corporate Planning for the company. Mr. Fast has over 35 years of operations experience, ranging from numerous full-cycle multi-well drilling programs, to completion, construction and production programs, as well as co-ordination of multi-well optimization programs in Western Canada. Mr. Fast attended the University of Saskatchewan in the faculty of engineering and obtained his certification in chemical engineering in 1971. Between 2004 and 2008, Mr. Fast was the Vice-President of Operations at RSX Energy Inc. in Calgary, Alberta.

Ms. Franz has over twenty-five years of accounting and finance experience and has worked for many international companies including Price Waterhouse Coopers in the U.K.
